Birding Around the Bay

St. Joseph Bay is host to rich and productive ecosystems that can support a variety of native bird species and is a major forage area for migratory birds that fly the Atlantic Flyway during spring and fall migration.
The Main Tract and Deal Track areas of the St. Joseph Bay State Buffer Preserve lands are recognized by the Great Florida Birding and Wildlife Trail network as premier wildlife viewing sites.
